Getting Started
Pico Wiki is a simple, personal wiki tool that runs entirely in
your browser. All your data is saved locally.
Creating & Editing Pages

Create a page: Click the Pages (☰) button,
type a name, and click the + button

Edit a page: Click the Edit (✎) button or
press Ctrl+E

Save changes: Click the ✓ button or press
Ctrl+S

Cancel editing: Click the ✕ button or press
Escape
Linking Pages

Internal links: Use
[[PageName]] to link to other pages
-
External links: Use
[Link Text](https://example.com)
-
Clicking a link to a non-existent page will create it
automatically
Markdown Formatting

Headers:
# H1,
## H2, ### H3
- Bold:
**bold text**
- Italic:
*italic text*

Code:
`inline code` or
```code block```

Lists: Use
- for bullets or
1. for numbers
- Quotes: Start line with

Search

Open search: Click 🔍 or press
Ctrl+K
- Search finds matches in both page titles and content
- Results are highlighted in yellow
Managing Pages

Reorder pages: Drag and drop pages in the
sidebar

Rename a page: Hover over a page and click
the ✎ icon (updates all links automatically)

Delete a page: Hover over a page and click
the ✕ icon
Import & Export

Export: Click ↓ in the sidebar to save all
pages to a .txt file

Import: Click ↑ in the sidebar to load
pages from a .txt file
- Great for backups or moving between devices
Keyboard Shortcuts
- Ctrl+K - Open search
- Ctrl+E - Toggle edit mode
- Ctrl+S - Save page (when editing)
- Escape - Close modals or cancel editing
Customization

Rename your wiki: Double-click "Pico Wiki"
at the top to change the title
Tips
-
Your data is automatically saved to your browser's
localStorage
- Create a "Home" page as your main starting point
- Use [[Links]] liberally to connect related ideas
- Regular exports are recommended for backup
